Our No-Show & Late Cancellation/Reschedule Policy At Sage & Serotonin Integrative Mental Health
Life gets busy – we get it. Cancellations happen. Our goal is to keep care accessible and ensure clinicians can protect your appointment time.
Here’s our policy:
Why We Have This Policy: We operate on a fee-for-service model. When someone misses an appointment without enough notice, that time cannot be given to another patient, and your clinician loses the ability to provide care during that time. A clear policy helps us stay sustainable and ensures all patients can access appointments.
48-Hour Notice: Please let us know 48 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel. You can message us through the portal or call the office
24-Hour Notice: Please let us know 24 hours before your appointment if you need to reschedule. You can message us through the portal or call the office.
$75 No-Show / Late Cancellation/Late reschedule Fee
A fee of $75 applies when:
1. You miss an appointment without contacting us within 48 hours of the appointment time
2. You cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice
3. You reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice
This fee isn’t covered by insurance.
We Give Every Patient One Courtesy Pass: Everyone gets one “life happens” pass – no questions asked, and no fee charged. After that, fees can only be waived with documentation of a true emergency.

Late Arrival Policy - Sage & Serotonin Integrative Mental Health
We value your time and the time of all our patients. To ensure smooth appointments and quality care for everyone, we have the following guidelines:
If You Arrive Late
We understand life can be unpredictable. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals; however:
➡ You will receive the remaining time in your scheduled appointment.
Your provider will need to end the session at the original time to avoid delays for those arriving on time. This helps us be respectful and fair to everyone's schedule.
If You Arrive More Than 50% Into Your Appointment
If you arrive after more than half of your appointment time has passed:
➡ The appointment will need to be rescheduled.
➡ A no-show fee of $75 will apply as the reserved time cannot be used for another patient.
This policy allows us to provide timely care and keep space available for those who need it.
Why This Policy Exists
Sage & Serotonin Integrative Mental Health operates on a fee-for-service model. Clinicians are only compensated for completed appointment time. Late arrivals or missed appointments result in lost clinical time that cannot be recovered or offered to patients on our waitlist.
We want to provide each patient with our full attention, which is only possible with consistent scheduling and protected time.
If You Know You’re Running Late: Please call or message us as soon as possible. We may be able to make adjustments and help. Early communication gives us the best opportunity to assist you.
